In Nassau the strokes allocated are 3/4 of the difference in strokes. Lets say Golfer A is index 4 and Golfer B is index 8. The difference is 4 and 3/4th of 4 is 3, hence in the match up between Golfer A and B, Golfer A will get 0 Strokes and Golfer B will get 3 strokes.
In special case for example Golfer A is handicap 7 and Golfer B is Handicap 9. The difference is 2 strokes and 3/4th of 2 is 1.5, in this case it will be round to the higher number i.e. 2. Every time the 3/4th difference leads to 0.5 it will always be round up. In this case Golfer A will give Golfer B 2 Strokes.
In case the Strokes are allocated using the Manage strokes features, then the exact difference in handicaps will determine the number of strokes. For example if Golfer A is deemed as back marker and Golfer B has 3 strokes then Golfer A will give Golfer B exactly 3 strokes.
